Ordering F.A.Q.'s

How do I order?

Ordering is simple. You can order online, or over the phone. To order online go to the ordering page. Next select the services you will be ordering. A form will open with instructions. If you need assistance, please call us at 856-914-1382.

How long will it take to receive my order?

You may request rushed service on your order form for an additional fee. Most orders are processed in about two weeks. Please note that larger orders and special orders will take more time. We will contact you with an estimated TOC (Time of Completion). You can call at anytime to check the status of your order, or email orders@rjcvideoservices.com.

What is our guarantee and return policy?

We guarantee you will be pleased with the quality of our work. If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with your product, we will refund the full cost of your order.

Can I insure my order during shipping?

Yes, you can insure your order through your shipping carrier if you desire. Also, at your request, we will insure your order through an insured carrier for an additional fee.

Photo Archiving F.A.Q.'s

Why should I digitally archive my photos?

Once your photos are in digital format, you'll have a perfect copy every time. You can store your photos, make copies, email them to friends or family, even use your disk for reprints at most local photo processing centers. Your digital photos will never fade or age, and no more cracking or discoloring. You'll never have to dig through boxes or albums to find the picture you want again. More than 500 photos can fit on one CD, and a DVD can hold over 2,000 photos. You could order a second copy of your disk at a reasonable price and store it in your safety deposit box essentially FIREPROOFING your photo collection.

Can I have my slides or negatives archived?

Yes, currently we accept 35mm slides, and negatives.

Can my CD or DVD be used for reprints?

Yes, you can use your disk for reprints at any photo processing center that does digital printing, almost every modern facility has this capability. Or you can use your computer and printer to print them yourself. Our Photo Archiving disks include software that will enable you to print, view and email your photos free of charge.

Can I email my digitized pictures to friends?

Yes, the software included with your disk will enable you to email your photos.

Does my CD or DVD come with any software?

Yes. All of our Photo Archive disks contain software for viewing, printing and emailing your pictures.

What's included with my order?

One copy of all your photos, slides, or negatives converted to high quality digital images on CD or DVD. One disk with a title you specify printed on it, and a case with your title on it. All disks include software for viewing, emailing and printing your pictures.

Why not scan them myself?

If you happen to have the time and knowledge to you could. Scanning, saving, and archiving more than a few pictures can be time consuming. RJC has spent a considerable amount of time and money to perfect the process for you. Save yourself the time and frustration by having the professionals do the work for you.

What format will my photos be converted to?

Your photos will be scanned to JPEG format with 100% quality compression. We can also convert them to loss less TIFF format if you desire.

Photo Restoration and Retouching F.A.Q.'s

Will my original be altered in any way?

Absolutely not! We do nothing to the original except scan it. We then work with the scanned image and place your original in a safe place.

How does RJC Video Services fix my photo(s)?

We use state of the art image editing software combined with professional graphic artists who do the work. Digital technology enables us to make virtually any photo, even if it's in pieces, look as good as new. We can even remove or add someone to a picture, change a background, add special effects, anything you can dream up.

Will I receive a "negative" of the new photo?

Yes. You will receive a new print, and a CD with a digital copy of the new image on it. The CD is your negative. You may use it for reprints.

How does pricing for Photo Restoration work?

Please see the photo restoration pricing page. We price projects on the amount of work involved. Without actually seeing the photo it is difficult to know exactly what price to quote a client, therefore we will quote you a price cap. You may actually be charged less than the original quote.

Can RJC do custom work?

We certainly can. Graphic design work is charged at thirty dollars ($30) per hour.

DVD Photo Slide Show F.A.Q.'s

Can I add music to my slide show?

Yes. You may send us any music you want added to your project. We require that the source be on CD or you may email us .mp3 files. We can provided the music for your project for an additional charge (usually $2.00 per song) if it can be found in these forms and is available for download.

Can I have text added to my pictures inside the slide show?

Yes. We can add text or comments to any of the photos in your show. This is called Titling. The order form has instructions for setting up your titles. All Slide Shows come with 3 free titles. Additional titles are extra.

How long will each slide be shown for?

You specify the length of time to show each slide. We recommend 10 seconds.

What is included with my slide show?

Software for viewing, emailing, and printing your slides on your computer, a copy of all scanned images in JPEG format for use with your computer and for reprints. Last but not least your slide show in DVD format, complete with music and menus.

Will my slide show DVD have a menu?

Yes. Your slide show will have a menu. On the menu you will have the option to play the show, and a submenu to view your pictures one at a time using your DVD players remote control.

Can I use my slide show with my computer?

Yes, if your computer has a DVD-Rom installed.

Will my DVD play in my DVD player?

Over 95% of all DVD players on the market support the DVD-R format. Your player must support this format. If you receive your DVD and it does not work with your player, we will refund the cost of your order provided you ship the DVD back to us. If you purchased your player in the last 2 to 3 years it should support this format. Please check your DVD players documentation for it's supported formats before ordering.

Home Movie Transfer F.A.Q.'s

What formats are acceptable for transfer?

Currently we are only transferring VHS and VHS-C formats to DVD. We will be offering transfers of Reel to Reel formats such as 8mm and Super8 film in the near future. Please check back or call us to see if this service has become available.

Will my DVD have chapter selections?

Yes you DVD will have a complete menu and chapter selections on it. You can specify the scenes or have them input ever 5 or 10 minutes.

How much video will a DVD hold?

The DVD format can hold up to 2 hours of video depending on the amount of compression used. RJC Video Services uses professional variable bit rate encoding on all of our DVD's. This ensures the best compression to quality ratio that's practical. All of the audio used on our disks is encoded in the AC3 format to ensure compatibility with U.S. DVD players which are not required to support the MPEG-2 audio standard. This ensures the best quality possible. We use the same formats as hollywood. Rest assured you will be getting the best quality DVD current transfer services can offer.

What about quality?

Our disks, compression, authoring, and capturing hardware and software is state of the art. Each project is individually worked on. You will receive a quality product or your money back!

Will my DVD player play the DVD disk created by RJC?


Over 95% of all DVD players on the market support the DVD-R format. Your player must support this format. If you receive your DVD and it does not work with your player, we will refund the cost of your order provided you ship the DVD back to us. If you purchased your player in the last 2 to 3 years it should support this format. Please check your DVD players documentation for it's supported formats before ordering.

Can RJC do custom video editing and DVD Authoring?

Yes. Custom video editing to DVD is sixty dollars ($60) an hour.
